DNA single nucleotype polymorphism detection

Description
This integrated microsystem comprises:
1) micropumps to deliver the specimen to the heater
2) array of microheaters. Each heater is a detection zone to maximize discrimination of DNA single nucleotype polymorphism.
3) The Si3N4 optical waveguide is built into the microsystem for optical detection.

Implications
Can distinguish between one DNA strand and another across a large array, to maximize discrimination.
